The Gazalum 12 x 18 Single Door Glass Window Gazebo is a beautiful free-standing gazebo that can be used for so many different purposes, so here are just a few ideas to get your own creative juices flowing.

Firstly, it would make a really great little artist’s studio, if you enjoying painting, drawing, sketching, etc.

Monet's GardenWith windows all around, it is very light and airy, and you’ll be able to paint whatever you see in your garden, whether that be flowers, animals, or even your house, under different lighting conditions (e.g. dusk, noon, evening, twilight – a bit like Monet did with his famous series of Waterlily paintings at Giverny), and at all times of year (e.g. spring, summer, fall, winter), as you’ll be protected from the elements.

This gazebo is plenty big enough to house an easel or two, with lots of space to store all of your materials (e.g. canvases, paints, brushes, cleaners).

And while you’re waiting for inspiration to hit you, why not just relax in a comfy chair and gaze out of one of the many windows, until you decide what to paint next?

PhotographerNow, maybe you’re not exactly a painter – perhaps you like to take photos instead.

Well, with all of that glass, this gazebo is clearly no hide, but there’s no reason why you couldn’t use it as a base to photograph whatever wildlife you find in your garden, from pets to birds to foxes, even critters.

And then, as before, you can capture the beauty of your garden at different times of the year – perhaps the forlorn look of a wintry garden, with snow on the ground, the explosion of colour that is spring and summer, and the gorgeous shades of brown as summer turns to fall.

It may not make the best dark room, of course, if you plan on developing your own photos, but other than that, you can sit in comfort, watch the world go by, and leap into action with your camera at a moment’s notice.

If video is more your thing, then it would make a great spot to set up your video camera in time lapse mode, recording an entire day of life in your garden in just a few minutes of footage (assuming you set your camera to take one frame a minute, say).

Wouldn’t you rather be working in a gazebo like this, in your garden, rather than in some stuffy room indoors (typically a spare bedroom, or maybe even the basement)?

Now, you probably will need to make sure you have power to your gazebo, and maybe a telephone line, although cell phones and wireless networks may mean this isn’t such a big deal.

This ample-sized gazebo has plenty of space in which to position a desk and chair for you to work at, as well as a filing cabinet or two (lockable, to be on the safe side), perhaps a side table where you can put your coffee pot and maybe even a small microwave, so you can eat and drink on the go, as it were, and some form of entertainment, whether that’s a music centre or a portable TV.

Then, you’ll need a comfy chair, as you should be taking a short break from your computer at least once an hour.

Having said all of that, if all you want is a classic garden gazebo, for you and your family and/or friends to relax in, then it’s absolutely perfect for that as well.

So, what about the gazebo itself?

Well, the good news is that it’s made from maintenance-free aluminium, and therefore makes an ideal, free-standing Florida room.

Patio doors include a screen and a keyed lock, for security purposes.

This gazebo is delivered in kit form and can be installed on new or existing poured concrete patios or decks, providing the existing structure is sound. (Simply placing the units on the ground or a patio stone area is prohibited.)

In our opinion, the Gazalum 12 x 18 Single Door Glass Window Gazebo cannot be beaten as a great, all-purpose gazebo.

I always think of a gazebo as a very particular thing, the traditional benches around a floor out in the yard or field and open to the weather.

Are these kinds of buildings also called gazebos?

You’re right, it does seem as though many of these words (e.g. gazebo, pergola, summerhouse) are somewhat interchangeable these days.

I’m thinking “outdoor office”. This gazebo would be perfect for working outside. But you’re right, there are so many possible uses. As a previous commenter said “no sun, no bugs”.
