Today, we’re going to take a look at a gazebo that’s also a swing …

… or is it a swing that’s also a gazebo?

It doesn’t actually matter, because either way, it’s a gazebo swing!

Ideal for sitting out in your garden, you can relax with the gentle swinging motion while taking in the beauty of your garden, or maybe the view, while remaining shaded from the heat of the sun.

These structures are also sometimes known as gazebo swing teahouses, which gives you another clue as to what people use them for.

And after all we’ve written on this site, you probably don’t need us to tell you, by now, that it would be perfect for a lover’s hide-away.

There are three main styles available, and the one shown above is the Double Roof Oval Gazebo Swing, which has, as you should know by now if you’ve subscribed to our blog updates, our favourite style of roof – the double-roof.

The other two models are:

Treated Pine Gable Roof Rectangle Gazebo Swing Wood Hip Roof Gazebo Swing
Treated Pine Gable Roof
Rectangle Gazebo Swing
Wood Hip Roof Gazebo Swing

They are also available in two different finishes – treated pine, like the ones shown above, and vinyl, like the ones below:

Vinyl Double Roof
Oval Gazebo Swing

(Note that the Wood Hip Gazebo Swing is also available in vinyl too.)

In terms of sizes, then you have the following choices:

Double Roof Oval Gable Roof Rectangular Hip Roof
  • 8 x 10 ft
  • 10 x 11 ft
  • 8 x 8 ft
  • 8 x 11 ft
  • 8 x 8 ft
Note that screens are not available for the smaller model, but are included with the larger one. Note that screens are not available for the smaller model, but are included with the larger one. Note that screens are not available for this model.

So, there you have it – the gazebo swing.

Our only concern would be that the swing might feel a bit too enclosed – no good if you’re a bit on the claustrophobic side.

We think that it would therefore make sense to go for the largest model you can (not that any of them are massive, by any means), and looking at the options, that would seem to indicate that the Treated Pine Double Roof Oval, with the double-roof, of course, would be our first choice.

  1. I do like swings, and I like gazebos as well so this would appear to be a rocking good combination for me. I was wondering if they had larger units though. These seem small and cramped.

The vinyl styles may be better from a maintenance perspective but I like the treated pine look better. Also, I agree with you that the double roof looks nicer.

I also like this one but definetly prefere the more simple ones you offer. The good thing about this ones are tht they seem more private. Do they make these ones bigger?

  7. Hi Rae and Mark,

I really like this option and how cozy it looks to fit well into a variety of back or front yards! I can see also the benefits of the gazebo and roof part of it to protect from the elements and post your glass of lemonade and nibbles to be protected as well!
