For those of you who are unfamiliar with Tiki Bars, this is what Wikipedia has to say about them:
“A tiki bar is an exotic-themed drinking establishment that serves elaborate cocktails, especially rum-based mixed drinks such as the “mai tai” or “Zombie cocktail”. Tiki bars are aesthetically defined by their Tiki culture décor which is based upon a romanticized conception of primitive tropical cultures, most commonly Polynesian.”
So, what this means, in practice, is that, if you can’t get to Hawaii, then bring Hawaii to your back yard and enjoy a bit of Polynesian culture every weekend.
The ideal spot for your Tiki Bar would be by the poolside, close to your , but if you don’t have a pool (yet), then on your patio would work great, or any quiet spot in your garden.
If you’re having guests around for a BBQ, then wouldn’t it be a lot more fun to serve drinks from your own private outdoor Tiki Bar, than to keep having to run inside to get them from the kitchen?
These particular Tiki Bars come in two finishes – treated pine, shown above, or vinyl, shown here. (Note that the underlying structure is still made of wood – the vinyl sheathing is purely to help protect it from the elements.)

… and you can also choose from a wide range of roofing styles and colours, you can add a cupola if you like, which always make the roof look more attractive in our opinion, and we would also recommend adding the optional electrical package, so that you can have drink mixers, music, etc. available.
We both prefer the treated pine Tiki bar, not only because we like the look of natural wood, but also because we feel it is more in keeping with its Polynesian origins.
